Françoise Bettencourt Meyers is a French billionaire heiress and author of Bible commentaries and works on Jewish-Christian relations. The only daughter and thus under French law the heiress of Liliane Bettencourt, her family owns the company L'Oréal. She married Jean-Pierre Meyers, the grandson of a rabbi murdered at Auschwitz. After marriage, Meyers decided to raise her children as Jewish. Her marriage caused controversy as a result of her grandfather, Eugène Schueller's, trial for collaboration with the Nazi government.
