Ja'Marr Anthony Chase is an American football wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the LSU Tigers, where he was a Fred Biletnikoff Award-winner and unanimous All-American who led the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) in receiving yards and touchdowns en route to a National Championship in 2019. He was drafted by the Bengals fifth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft after sitting out of the 2020 season to focus on his professional career. He broke several records as a rookie, including NFL records for most receiving yards in a game by a rookie with 266. His 266-yard game was also a Bengals franchise record for receiving yards in a game. For his performance as a rookie, he was named to the Pro Bowl. In January 2022 Chase surpassed Chad Johnson's franchise record for receiving yards in a single season.
